I Know, I Am Behind!

I have just been so busy the last few days. I have the rest of my 2008 in review, but don't have time to post it today, so next time. I have been keeping up with Project 365 and a couple challenges.

First is a challenge for One Little Word, Start...

I used October Afternoon Nightlight, Bazzill Dotted Swiss, Cuttle Kids Tadpole Alphabet, Technique Tuesday Big Timber (small) letter stamps, Bazzill Arrow chipboard covered in Bazzill cs, Maya Road Key chipboard painted, glittered, and covered in Diamond Glaze, KI Memories Lace cardstock, buttons, and embroidery floss.

Now onto Project 365

My nephew gave me this thank you card for the mini book I made him. He did this all on his own and neither me or tigardlilly knew he was doing it! What a sweetie!!

We got grocery funds today, just enough food to get us through for the month!

I LOVE popcorn!! Got these tins of mixed popcorn at Staples for only $2.50!!

This Is Going To Be A Great Winter!!

It snowed again tonight, around an inch or so, but it was REALLY good packing snow, unlike the stuff we had a couple weeks ago. I made a little snowman, as I didn't have a lot of energy to be bending over in the cold, wet snow! Isn't he just adorable?? Cliff took this photo, with high ISO...I am loving the way the snowflakes are brightened up with the flash! Too bad it is raining now :(

2008 In Review....
JULY
We celebrated the 4th of July.

Then we packed up our apartment and moved in with my parents.

AUGUST

We went to Oak's Park, a little amusement park. Check out the resident owl at the carousel!

I got accepted for the Scrapbook Challenges Design Team, prompting a photo shoot. This one is just for fun.

And this layout was chosen as the monthly winner at Scrapbook Cafe, a LSS in NJ.

SEPTEMBER

We had a great vacation, first we went to Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor water park. I will NOT be going on the Howlin' Tornado again...I got off and actually cried, lol!

We spend a couple nights in Newport, had another blast!

Got a much needed haircut, with Tigardlilly.

I am gonna get right down to business...

I got this RAK today in the mail from Pinky, I won it for commenting on her blog when she got published!

Coincidentally, it is also my Project 365 photo for today, 1-3!

Back to my 2008 in Review. I have too many pics to share, so this is only 2 months...

MAY

I got a new scrap area, inspired by my new file cabinets, that cost $5.50 each! Hubby even decided to help out!

Then Hubby had a birthday, he got lots of NASCAR stuff, especially from my bro! Do you think Cliff liked it??

Then I got fed up with my slobbiness, so I instituted Operation Clean Sweep, and here and here.

JUNE

June brought the Portland Rose Festival, always a hit for us!

Fireworks Spectacular

The Starlight Parade, with special guest...Kaydrenth

THen the grand-daddy of them all, The Grand Floral Parade, which we camped out overnight on the sidewalk for the late morning parade.

My other brother came to town, so we hit the arcade and batting cages, remember that story?

I got some layouts done this Monday, at our Monday Scrap Night! I didn't design any of these, they were kits from past CKCs that I never got done.

These first 2 were from Fabulous Felt in Seattle 2007

The rest of these were all from Simple Scrapbook's 1,2,3,4x6 class in Portland 2008.

That is all I have for now, there will more tomorrow, as I have more of 2008 to share and a new one from 2009!

Oh yeah, AMR is having an anniversary weekend crop this coming weekend! I am super excited about it! There will be TONS of challenges, games, classes, and RAKs! I suggest you hop over there, get signed up with the message board, check it out a bit, and plan to be there next Friday night and Saturday! Be there or be square, LOL!!

Welcome 2009!!!

Ok, so I am a little late with that, but at least I did it, lol!!
I have so much to share, but it will take me a few days to get it all shared with you, as there are just too many photos! . The first thing I want to share is my word for the year...ENDURE. I chose this word based on our current situation and I know we will have to endure a lot this year. I am not sure what my plan is exactly, I suppose it will come to me in time, though it will probably start with an altered project or something.

Next on my list is I am doing a 365 photo thing. I know others are doing it, and I just liked the idea. I am not doing any organized challenge or group, just sort of doing my own. I think I will call it 365 in 2009 original, I know! I have already started it...

I finished this book!! I am so hooked and obsessed now! But unlike others-you both know who you are-I refuse to let it take over my life. Cliff is already feeling jealous, and my blogging/scrapping is behind, LOL! I even used the tickets I got for my bday and saw the movie!

Next on my list...Scrappy Girl shared a review of 2008 and I loved it so much, I wanted to do the same. The problem is, there are so many photos, and I want to share them all. It is going to take a few days to share it all! I will do 3-4 months at a time, I hope you don't mind.

There wasn't a lot to share, we lost our internet, Mom was in ICU, and that is pretty much it.

Went to Rockaway Beach to visit BFF Marla and her hubby. Just a few random shots.

Toby turned 5, he is growing up so fast!

New Kids On The Block got back together, officially!
