Some Stuff and a Mess

So, I have been working on ATCs, inchies, and some altered things this past weekend. First off, these ATCs are for a heritage swap over at Split Coast. We had the make a heritage ATC for each person in our group(s) according to the heritage they gave us. I went and signed up for 3 groups, and got overwhelmed very quickly. Luckily, we could make multiples of the same one for different people. I made 35 total-of course had to make an extra of each one for myself, lol! I decided to go with the flags of their country's heritage.
I used Wassau cs for the base, then Bazzill for everything else, shapes are drawn and cut with Silhouette, used rhinestones, and put the 2x3 flags on Technique Tuesday Technique Tiles.
For an embellishment swap over at Swap Addicts Anonymous using DCWV Doodlin' Around the Page, I needed to make journal spots.
I used the actual paper from the stack on everything, except the lined paper on the monster one, that is Scenic Route.
This one I used a Technique Tuesday stamp.

I also threw in a couple border strips. This one is 8 inches and used SU Scallop border punch.
This one is 6 inches long and used Fiskars Apron Lace border punch.
I designed some inchies for an All Holidays Inchie swap at SAA. I have only made one of each so far, but have everything cut and stamped. All I need to do now is decorate and put together the others. I signed up for all of them, of course, lol!! There is New Years, Valentine's, St Patty's, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter-13 total.
With that swap, and the other 4 ATCs I have designed/cut/bagged, I now have 5 projects to take with me to Laura's this weekend to work on. I even wrote what supplies I need on the bags, so I only take what I need.
This is the mess after designing the inchies! I used scraps for all of it!! Luckily this is now cleaned up!
Now I need to start some DT stuff and some challenges.
.
Don't forget about the Scrapbook Challenges Blog Hop, THIS WEEKEND!! It will be tons of fun, and I will be having a prize as well, so be sure to check it out!
Scrappy Mail tomorrow!!!

No Scrappiness Today, But Still Pretty Cool!!

I did finish up a layout last night, unfortunately I can't share it. I am doing a round robin scraplift game on Scrapbook Challenges, and I don't want to taint it by sharing my layout with the rest of the team. Basically, each scraplift gets passed along and the team that remains closest to the original layout in the end, wins.
.
I did however, pull out all the layouts that need to find a home. I haven't counted these, but it is a lot! I need at least 8 large albums just to keep these layouts, not to mention the ones I will be doing in the future! The album on the left is WAY to full, and the rest are either in page protectors held together with binder rings, but most of the rest are in craft keepers.
I found a link on AMR, about making your own gluedots with Aleene's Tack It Over and Over, you can see the video here. I cut up label sheets, folded in half, and used a couple empty stamp books, to keep my dots safe. They do have a different texture than your regular glue dot, but they do work well! The great thing, is this bottle will last forever, and costs the same as one package of glue dots! I have way over the average 300 dots in a package, and barely even touched my bottle! You should check it out and give it a try!
I got some scrappy mail today! This is from scrappin{jewlz} and is a combination of a few RAKs I won during the July crop at AMR.
I got these sticky goodies from her as well, this time for the RAK from the AMR August crop. I got an ATC too, but forgot to take a picture of it, I will share it later. The really cool thing, is I really needed another glue pen, and almost bought one the other day, but decided I could live without it to save some money!!
Jewlz's daughter is participating in the Kids Only ATC swap over at Swap Addicts Anonymous, and she sent me these goodies! Thank's "R"!!
I spent an hour putting all my new goodies away, thanks again Jewlz, YOU ROCK!!!
I gotta tell ya, I have the best scrappy friends, and they are all at All Moments Remembered!!

A Layout & Some Organization

I only got one layout done in the last 2 days. It is another Scrapbook Challenges challenge, Scraplift It! We were supposed to go to the May Work thread, pick a layout and lift it. I chose a layout by Holli!
And this is my take on it!
I used some cheapo cs I found deep in my stash, October Afternoon pp scraps, some rhinestones, Michael's Christmas ribbon, Thickers, and some brads.
I have been looking for a way to showcase all the inches I got a while back from a couple swaps. I tried putting them on acrylic and putting them on my ATC spinner, but it got too full too fast and I switched to binders. I went to a coin/stamp shop today, and picked up these coin sheets. I think it worked out pretty well! I put them in the front of my ATC binder and I can look at them anytime I want now! I really like it!
I may have said binder, but I have 2 so far. This is the first one, FULL! My second binder is about half full! I like this method SO much better than the spinner!
Short post today, but tomorrow is the Scrapbook Challenges DT Blog Hop! Be sure to check it out, there are going to be TONS of prizes! I saw the prizes and wish I could participate!! It starts at 9 am pacific time, so check back then!!

6 Hour Scrappy Reorg

Yep, I finally got to redo my tiny scrapspace! It was not by choice though! See the shelf in the photo below?

It fell!!! I was standing right below it, put a package of Thickers on it, and KABAM!! My nose took the brunt of the fall, but it is ok! It turns out one of the wall anchors snapped in half!! Everything fell down, embellishment containers spilled, stamps fell out of thier binders, Cricut cartridges opened up and went everywhere, and my Cricut and Silhouette fell 6 feet to the floor! This is what it looked like after I picked everything up...

I had to fix my desk, it has been coming apart in the middle for a while, so everything came off!! I fixed the desk, reassembled the computer, readjusted the brackets on the shelf and put it into studs this time! Moved some things around, added a couple plastic shelves, and I have more space and I think it will be a lot more useful! Now, the lights on the bottom of my shelf are actually over my work, rather than off to the right casting a constant shadow!! I even found a way to have my Cricut and Silhouette pluged in all the time, just pull it out, set it on a TV tray and use it! That wasn't possible before!! I really like it!

Cards, RAKs, Organization

This was a challenge for The Cuttlebug Spot, Celebrate Spring! I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss cs, and everything else is Crate Paper Kaitlin Collection. I used D'vine Swirls and Swiss Dots CB embossing folders, and a Sizzix flower die. I sanded the D'vine Swirls, and inked the Swiss Dots.
This card is a funny story. I went and made this card, for the challenge above, and realized the colors weren't very "springy". Just for the record, I used Bazzill cs, October Afternoon pp, a borrowed CB embossing combo set (sorry, don't know the name), Inkadinkado Stamp, and a brad.
As if that wasn't bad enough, since the above card didn't work because of the colors, I made this one instead! Very springy, but I realized there was no Cuttlebugging involved!! SO, I made 3 cards for this challenge, but only the top one is "official", lol!! This was made with Bazzill cs, borrowed KI Memories scraps, Stickles, and an Inkadinkado stamp.
So I got another hostess RAK for the Easter ATC I am hosting for AMR. Aren't these to die for?! SO cute, and cupcakes to boot! Thanks Bren!!
Another hostess gift, from Espinola3.
I decided it was time I reorganized my chipboard. This just wasn't working. It was on my shelf and I could barely reach the top row (I am only 5 ft tall). Plus, the letters seem to get stuck when opening the drawers.
This is what I did for now. There will lots of digging involved, and my hope is someday I can buy something else to keep this in. At least for now, I can take my chipboard with me! Now, before you say anything, most of these letters are incomplete sets, and most are pretty ugly and need to be stripped! I do feel like I have more now, but I also never feel like I have enough, lol! We'll see how this works.
.
I will try to get in more of a bloggy habit, and not share 20 layouts at a time, lol! Thanks for checking in!!

Just A Quick Post

Another Monday come and gone, and I forgot to post the sketch for Scrapbook Challenges.
This week's sketch, 131.
I used Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette cs for the background, SU Bella Rose pp, SU Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red cs for the stamped flower, Kitchen Sink Stamps (this month's sponsor for SBC), rhinestone flowers, and Target Dollar Spot cb letters.
An ATC made for the AMR Crop's Tropical ATC swap. All the pp is SU Delicate Dots, stamps are mostly Studio G, umbrella is unknown, some Stickles, and all backed on some Bazzill cs.
This is my after the crop picture, for the challenge at AMR. It is definately clean!!
Lastly, here is my new adhesive, in it's new home!!
Short post today, I am off to work on more challenges for SBC, and some more AMR ATC swaps!

I Caught Up!

First, let me show you this little puppy...Kay just dropped it off for me, with a refill!! I guess she doesn't like me using glue sticks either, lol! I can't wait to use it, seriously!! It is so cute, and LIGHT! Thank you so much Kay, you are awesome!!!!
The AMR crop was yesterday, and Nicole had a challenge to show our scrap space as is, then post another picture on Monday. The person with the cleanest desk and the messiest desk wins! This is my before photo. Lucky for me, I have a tiny space and I have to keep it clean, or I can't work!! I will share the after photo later!!
.
I was a few days behind on my AMR challenges, then there were a couple from the crop to do as well. I finally got those all done! Do ya wanna see??
.
I thought you might!!!
.
AMR Tuesday Font/Title Challenge 2/17: Use Leftover Letters (doesn't have to be the title)
I used Bazzill cs, October Afternoon pp, MM Noteworthy spiral journal sheet, Bazzill cb arrow inked and Stickled, all the letters are Thickers, and some are inked. I forgot to ink them before I adhered them, so I smudged some ink on the layout. Embrace imperfection!!! Oh yeah, I used my SU spiral punch!!
AMR Wednesday Product Challenge 2/18: Use Material and Alphas
I used Bazzill cs, Reminiscence pp and stickers, Scenic Route letter stickers, Sakura Glaze Pen for the rest of the title, Recollections chipboard sticker, and my material is felt-die cut with Cuttlebug and then Target Dollar Spot brads. I don't have any material, so hopefully felt will count.
I used SU Kiwi Kiss cs, MM Noteworthy die cut paper, Tim Holtz Tickets, MM Noteworthy itty bitty letters, and Thickers which are inked and Stickled, to match the dots on the paper. It was weird though, I inked the letters, let them dry over night, and nothing rubbed off. I added the Stickles, and the inked pulled up into the Stickles (not the bottle). I have never had that happen before!
AMR Friday Team Challenge 2/20: Use Chartreuse, Turquoise, Black and Bling
I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss cs, BG Sultry scraps, DCWV All Dressed up pp, unknown flower (printed with dots on the other side), SEI brad, inked Thickers, Stickles, dyed skittles, and rhinestones. These rhinestones are actually from the RAK I got from obxpatti, but when I tried to use it, it flopped all over, kept sticking to everthing, and after 30 mins of fiddling with it, wasn't usable as a word anymore. :( I was determined to still use it though, and the rhinestones will not go unused.
AMR Card Challenge 2/21: Tropical
I used Cloud 9 Design pp scraps and Bazzill cs. That is it.
AMR Crop Challenge: Cliff 's Card Challenge-Yes, Cliff scrapbooks!!
He wanted matching colors and similar prints.
I used Bazzill cs, American Crafts pp, Making Memories pp, rhinestones, a Kitchen Sink Stamp-the sponsor at SBC, SU scallop border punch, and some Stickles. I am really liking these stamps. I have another set, this one is a little bonus stamp. The DT each got one for free. They are really good quality and give really good images.
AMR Crop Challenge: Citrus LO, by midwayscrapper
The challenge was to use summer photos and the colors Yellow, Orange, and Green, at least 2.
I used Bazzill cs, Dreamstreet and Pink Paislee scraps, Technique Tuesday Stamps, Felt Fusion, Bazzill flower (yellow), and unknown (orange), misc button, and Kaiser Crafts pearls.
That is all I have to share for now. I am gonna spend the rest of the weekend working on some challenges for SBC, there are only 3 that I still need to do for this month.
I GET TO USE MY NEW ADHESIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again Kay!!!
.

The Great Scraps Reorg

I have been wanting to reorganize my scraps for a long time now, as the 2 drawers that are used all the time were crammed full. My scraps were starting to get all bent up.
.
This is what it looked like before I started...
Top drawer...Bazzill only scraps. It wouldn't even close anymore!
Second drawer...Designer printed paper only, also, barely closing.
Third drawer...old scraps from crappy paper I used to buy, and cheap-o cs I don't use anymore.
Fourth drawer...Ephemera or memorabilia, do I really need a drawer for this stuff??
Bottom drawer...mini books and things to alter. I can move this stuff right? This is only half of said items!! Maybe I should do more minis!!
.
.....organize, organize, organize.....
.
The new and improved, but not a whole lot different SCRAPS DRAWERS!!!
You can see they are labeled for quick searching, and less confusion! I organized my manufacturer, as that is usually how I go digging for paper. It works for me!
First drawer...Basic Grey and October Afternoon scraps. I have as many of these scraps, as I do the rest of all the pp!!
Second drawer...Pink Paislee, Sassafras Lass, Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, and Dream Street.
Third drawer...American Crafts, Making Memories, Bo Bunny, and Scenic Route.
Fourth drawer...other printed paper, but still designer paper.
Bottom drawer...Bazzill cs, separated by size and put in Ziploc baggies (thanks Jingle for the awesome idea, hope you don't mind). The bigger pieces, are in a large Ziploc in my Cropper Hoppers with my other Bazzill, along with Hambly transparencies and lace cardstock scraps.
Here are the Ziplocs, showing the degree of my separation.
That is it! I hope it works, I have faith it will. What did I do with all that other paper in the middle drawer that I never use???? I can't get rid of it, so it is currently in another large Ziploc baggie, stuffed next to the drawer system, with everything else I don't know what to do with, lol! I redid another little drawer system, combined a couple drawers, and put all my minis/alterables in 2 drawers.
.
Oh yeah, Walgreens had a one day special on online prints, 20 FREE! You know I was scraping the bottom of the barrel on my photos, so Cliff (by Cliff I mean me) and I both took advantage of that, so now I have 40 new photos to scrap!! WOO HOO!
.
That is all for now, look out soon for a post with more challenges I have gotten done!
.
