SSS Hotties Battle

So, here it is....
The Scrap Sisters Studio Hotties Battle!!
During the crop last weekend, I challenged Gaybow to make more layouts of her "hottie", Gerard Butler. The loser has to make and send a layout of the winner's "hottie" to the winner. It was a close one, but I did win. Gay managed to do 10, while I did 12 (2-pagers count as 2). I won't even mention that 2 of hers were just photo sleeves, lol! She knows I am joking about complaining!! :)
Turns out, the other person on our board who does "hottie" layouts, inadvertently got left out. Julie was a bit upset, at first, and ended up beating us both out, just to prove a point, lol! I am going to send her a layout of her Jason Michael Carroll, just because!
.
So, without further ado, let's get on to showing off Rob!!!
This was a challenge, to do a 2-page layout using at least 5 photos. I know, I know-it's pink! But look at the photos, they just screamed pink to me!! Besides, it's not like he is ever going to see these! (OMG, I would die if he did!!)
I used Bazzill cs, Pink Paislee Pop Fashion pp, various die cuts, Clear Scraps acrylic R which I used alcohol inks on, Prima flowers, buttons, Thickers, and one of the handmade SS items from Jana.
This one I used Coredinations Black Magic cs and lightly sanded it (it is green underneath), SU Rockabilly Specialty pp, Prima flowers (covered in Gold Stickles), MM glitter chipboard letters, Recollections chipboard stickers (they were black/silver, so I covered the silver with Gold Stickles), and unknown journal spot (maybe MME?).
This one was a challenge, Use Your Stash, use supplies older than 1 year, and at least one photo has to be older than 1 year. I forgot about the photo rule, so I threw a photo of me from 8/08.
I used Bazzill cs, Scenic Route from 2005, Thickers purchase 6/08, Adorn It letters from Scarlet Lime kit 12/08, and Queen & Co Felt Fusion I bought last Christmas. I hand cut the thought bubble and it's trail. This was a sketch challenge, using at least 3 bracket items, by Chrispea.
I used Bazzill cs, Jenni Bowlin bracket paper, chipboard brackets (unknown), Thickers, Adorn It letters, BG Granola pp, I hand cut the bracket border at the bottom, American Crafts journal sticker, and suede flowers.
This one I used Bazzill cs, DCWV Glitter Stack pp, Cuttlekids tadpole alpha dies, DCWV Glitter cs, and Recollections chipboard (this time I didn't cover up the silver).
This one, I pulled out my Cricut for the first time in a LONG time-for the title (I used Stamped), BG Granola pp, embossed die cuts from SSS members, chipboard journal spot from scrapinmary (inked), Tim Holtz ticket, and some ribbon scraps. OH, and my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, love that thing! Don't forget my fave photo shoot, GQ, yummo!
Now, before you say anything about the purple, I decided to do this one purple because I have received so many purple embellishments*, I just HAD to use them, lol!
I used ColorBox (I think) cs, American Crafts pp, AC photo corners*, The Paper Studio rhinestones*, Crystal Stickers rhinestones*, Sticko Button Ups buttons*, Kaiser Crafts felt strip, Kaiser Crafts rhinestones, ribbon scraps, Thickers, and Wassau cs scrap.
I don't know what paper this is, it was a RAK, and I covered the back with other cs and can't look to see what it is-but it is weaved raffia (I think), most of this stuff on this layout is RAKs too, totally coincidental. I used 2 kinds of Thickers from Denise, Top Note Die from Malena, Flower from Jana, Butterfly from Celeste, BG Bling It from ?, and teh rhinestone at top is MM Flower Patch-that was mine.
I used Bazzill cs, Cosmo Cricket Mr Campy pp, Thickers, Adorn It letters, flowers, and buttons.
I used Bazzill cs, a variety of MM papers, Kaiser Crafts flowers, Hobby Lobby Vday embellie, and Thickers.
OK, this is my most "vulgar" layout, but I covered up the offensive word. I used Heidi Grace pp, Kaiser Crafts and Prima flowers, brads, and Cricut cut letters using Opposites Attract. Right now, these are some of my favorite shots of Rob!!
It was really fun, Cliff went to Costco and picked up my pictures (I am upset I forgot to get matte/luster). I realized afterwards, what it must have looked like, a man picking up "Rob Porn"!! It must have been priceless!! I've got myself a good husband!!
.
I hope you enjoyed Rob!!

Secret Santa

SSS had a couple Secret Santa Swaps. One being the traditional-spend-$20-and-send-off swap, and a handmade swap where we make things and send to 5 people. I signed up for both.
.
I already shared one back in December, so here are the othe four handmade swaps.
This one is from scrapinmary-my sis-in-law. She didn't make anything, but included a lot of cute stuff!
This one is from Janet/espinola3. There are some Cricut cuts, some wired ribbon, and snowflake stickers/sticky notes.
Julie/scrappin{jewlz} made the cutest little tags! For me, she also included some foam paint brushes, rhinestones, and photo corners-because she is just cool like that! She sends me lots of stuff! Maybe I should think about returning the favor! lol I guess you could call her my "unofficial" Scrap Pal! The card was for the Christmas card swap. OH, like my wallpaper? I DO!! LOL
Got this stuff from Denise, for the handmade swap. She made these cute little layered flowers. They even have a little bit of a shimmer to them-and if you know me at all, you know how I like things that shimmer! ;) She sent me a couple extra little things, since she is my Scrap Pal.
Speaking of Scrap Pal...SSS has Scrap Pals. We get teamed up with one person to be pals with. Each pair is different, but the basic idea is you send each other Christmas gifts, Birthday gifts/cards, Anniversary cards, and misc little things throughout the year.
As I mentioned just before, Denise is my Scrap Pal. My wish list contained lots of things, but the biggest were Thickers and Stickles. I had asked for the newest release of the Distress Stickles, all she could find were the older ones-which I had. BUT, that is totally cool, because as I found out, the Distress Stickles don't last nearly as long, so now I have extras for when I run out! You know, I was The Stickles Queen at AMR, and now at Scrap Sisters Studio, I am Sister Stickles!! I love my Stickles! Don't forget the Thickers!!
My main Secret Santa was ScrapChef/Malena. She really did an awesome job on this! She even got me an 8x8 pad of BG Eskimo Kisses-Yeah Baby!! Look at that cute die cut/punced santa? Isn't he awesome!! Lots of goodies here, I love it all!
Get a close look at all this stuff, because you are about to see a lot of it tomorrow! There was quite a bit of it on the "It's Time" layout I posted yesterday!
.
Tomorrow....If you don't want to see Rob Pattinson layouts, don't stop by, lol! If you want to see them, you better come!!! I promise you won't be disappointed. There will be an explaination as to why there are so many as well!!

Playing Catch Up

Well, I am back again. I took some time off from scrapping, but I am back at it. I think I may have found that balance I have been looking for. The balance between my fan fiction reading, scrapping, online networking, etc. Unfortunately, I had to drop some of my obligations, so I won't be designing for Scrapbook Challenges or BZB Designs anymore. Of course, I still have to find time to read my 5000+ blog posts in my reader, but that can be done at a later time.
.
For now, let me show you what I have done in the last month or so.
This was for a SC sketch.
I used Bazzill cs, Around The Block pp, Martha Steward Loopy Border Punch, Thickers, and handmade crocheted flowers by LBoregon from SSS.
I took these photos in Cliff's Mom's backyard garden, when we were there for her funeral. For a woman who constantly complained she couldn't keep anything alive, she had a gorgeous garden!
Another past sketch.
I used MM Noteworthy pp, a strip of SU Rich Razzelberry cs, ribbon, Thickers (Gs are handmade from other characters), die cut butterfly from scrappin{jewlz}, Kaiser Crafts pearls, and MM journal spot.
And another past sketch.
I used Bazzill cs, BG Ambrosia pp, BG naked chipboard letters which I inked, and some ribbon from scrappin{jewlz}.I made this in September, for my BFF's baby shower. I didn't make it to her shower, and I finally got to go see her around Christmas. Needless to say, since she looks at my blog, I couldn't share it till I gave it to her. She seemed to really like it. I used an 8x8 paper kit I bought at Michael's about 3 years ago.
I made this layout last month, using Eskimo Kisses and A is For digi designs by BZB Designs.
Scrap Sisters Studio (FKA AMR) had it's January online crop last weekend.
This was my Christmas Goodies Challenge. The idea was to use stuff you got for Christmas.
Scrapchef, my SS, gave me...BG Eskimo Kisses pp, Red Foil Thickers, Red Brads, Top Note Die Cut, Metal Rimmed Tags, Kaiser Crafts Flowers
Denisewalks, my Scrap Pal, gave me...Brown Puffy Thickers
scrappin{jewlz}, SS, gave me...Homemade Tags
scrapinmary, SS, gave me...Ribbons
My brother gave me a Michael's Gift Card that bought the cardstock.
Therefore, EVERYTHING on this layout, except the ink to distress the edge, the pen to journal with, and the adhesive, is from Christmas!!
When I was with Scrapbook Challenges, I had to do a tutorial. I chose to do embossing with the Cuttlebug.
For this card, I used Coredinations cs, Heart Blocks CB embossing folder, CB Concentric Hearts die, SU Ticket Corner punch, Target Dollar stamp, Kaiser Crafts rhinestones, and a button.
This one I used CB Leafy Branch and Forest Branches embossing folders, the backside of a random embellishment, Inkadinkado stamp, and Kaiser Crafts rhinestones. This one I used DCWV white core cs, Quickutz Polka Dots embossing folder, shamrocks cut with Silhouette, and a Studio G stamp.
I have LOTS more to share, but figured I would space it out some, lol!
If you are still reading or following my blog; if I haven't lost you, please let me know by leaving me a comment! With not blogging, I feel I let my readers down-you are the reason I post!

Scrapbook Challenges Blog Hop

It is time for another blog hop for Scrapbook Challenges!! I totally love these, and I am honored to be part of it again! If you are just joining in, be sure to start over at Pamela's World of Scrap!
.
Welcome back!
It is a long hop this time around, it included the retiring DT members, those of staying on, the new DT members, and some guest DT members. It is sure to be a good one!!

Here is the awesome sketch for this hop, once again made by Pamela!

This is my take on the sketch! I used the Rock With You digi kit andA is For digi kit by BZB Designs! Oh, and of course Rob Pattinson of Twilight fame!I am a returning DT member, and am thrilled to be able to stay on!!

In case you aren't familiar with me or my blog, my name is Marilyn, I am an original DT member of Scrapbook Challenges. Unfortunately I have been slacking on the scrapping, but I am still in love with it! I have been doing lots of digi layouts lately. I am addicted to making ATCs as well!! I am also a huge Twilight Saga fan, both the books and the movies. As a result, I am a bit obsessed with Rob Pattinson, lol! If you are a regular follower, you may have noticed that!

There are prizes for this hop, of course!

Everyone who comments on all the blogs in the hop, will be put in the drawing for this pile of goodies from My Little Shoebox! Everyone who does the sketch and puts it in the Hop On section on SC, will be put in the drawing for the Origins Collection by Basic Grey.
There are two packs from Prima Marketing, one will go to someone who JOINS the group this weekend, and the other will go to someone who INVITES someone to the group this weekend (through the invite link on the group)
This pack of Rusty Pickle goodies goes to one person who leaves a comment on the blogs in the Hop On section.
Now, go over to Sarah's blog and continue on!!! Don't forget to leave a comment here for your chance to win the My Little Shoebox prize!!
