Scrappy Randomness

This is the layout I did for AMR's Book Of Me Challenge #5. Never Forget.
I used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love pp, die cuts from a RAK, crocheted butterfly from a RAK, misc ribbon/lace, and Thickers. The journaling is about my feeling on how I looked that day.
One of the challenges from the crop was to make a Halloween Goody Package and a card, then sent it off to another AMR member.
I made this treat bag with an ATC sized zip loc bag, unknown pp, Creative Imaginations rubon, CB Creepy die cuts
and CB scalloped square die.
This is the matching card I made (except for the cs).
I used Bazzill Dotted Swiss cs, Around The Block pp, CB Creepy die cuts and embossing folder, CB scalloped square dies, Inkadinkado stamps, and the same unknown pp.
AMR's grettasgranddaughter sent me this Big Bite with her swap ATCs, along with the little scrapbook and crocheted butterflies. I love how they are just the scallop circle folded in half! She told me she got this for herself on clearance for $15, and I asked her to pick me up on and I would repay her. She sent it to me, and told me not to worry about! How sweet is that?! I only hope I can repay her someday, or at least be able to do the same for someone else. Thanks Julia!!!
That is all I have so far. Again, I am writing this on Monday, so hopefully by tomorrow, I will have something else to share!

AMR Crop Layouts

So, AMR had it's monthly crop last weekend, so I have lots to share today!
9/11 Remembrance Challenge
I found all the names of the people who died in the twin towers, and put them in a text box in Photoshop. Then added the frame, the journaling sheet, more text, and we have a page.
Beefcake Challenge
LOL, this was inspired by the avatar challenge I had to change your avatar to your favorite "beefcake" celebrity. He may not be the definition of beefcake, but Edward Cullen is hot! LOL
I used Bazzill cs, BG Wisteria pp, Tim Holtz Ticket (to cover up messed up rubon), Heidi Grace rubons, Kaiser Crafts pearls, Prima flowers, buttons, and Heidi Swap Chipboard letters.
Falling Title Challenge-Falling must be part of title.
I used SU Melon Mambo and Pacific Point cs, SU Good Morning Sunshine pp, die cut letters, Tinkering Ink felt embellishments, Martha Stewart Around the Edge border and corner punches, MM rhinestone flowers, Prima Flowers, and Kaiser Crafts Rhinestones.
Recipe Challenge-I was given use Green (lots) on layout, chipboard, pp as background, and 2 types of distressing.
I used Around The Block pp, SU Top Note die which I painted, inked the edges, and covered in Stickles, BG Granola pp, SU Butterfly dies for the wings, which I used Crackle Paint and Distress Ink on, I scraped the edges of the layout and inked, the letters are 7-Gypsies rubons with velvet rubbed on top, Kaiser Crafts pearls, Flair Designs paper ribbon over Bazzill cs, and a Cricut cut apple.
Fall Out Boy Challenge-Favorite musician/band.
I couldn't decide on which one to use, so I decided to go with The Love Hammers (Marty Casey from Rockstar INXS) since I had great photos of them.
I used Core'dinations cs (sanded the edges), Sassafras Amplify pp, unknown letters, SU Spiral punch, velvet punched circles, unknown paperclip embellies, buttons, and DCWV Rockstar guitar.
Fall Challenge-scrap the sights/senses of fall, other than costumes, pumpkins, etc.

I have one more challenge to show you tomorrow, but it isn't a layout. I also have a couple other things to share, so be sure to tune in tomorrow! LOL

Monday Scrapbook Challenges

Another Monday, another Scrapbook Challenges Sketch!
Pamela does an amazing job with these sketches.
This is Sketch 161.
And my take, I used Bazzill cs, Pink Paislee Enchanting pp, BG chipboard letters-inked, RAK'ed ribbon with acrylic flowers, Sassafras Hog Heaven border, DCWV cs for journaling block, silk and Prima flowers, and a button.
This week was my turn to offer a challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges, I do the technique challenges, this month I did a Sanding Technique Challenge. I used DCVW cs, Core'dinations cs, Sassafras Hog Heaven pp, misc chipboard letters, BG Infuse ribbon, and a bunch of diecuts that I got as a RAK.
The sanding consists of the letters, the die cuts, the CB embossed Core'dinations, the photo, and the journaling spot. I scraped the edges of the layout too, so show more of the white core.
I participated in a Round Robin game on SC, and I was the first person. I was given this layout to scraplift.
When I finished, I sent it off to the next person, who did the same. In the end, the team who stayed truest to the original layout (above) wins. I am the only person to see the original. I am excited to see the results.
My scraplift....I used Bazzill cs, October Afternoon Cherry Hill pp, SU Season of Friendship stamps, inked Thickers (her nickname is actually Fee Fee, but didn't have enough "E"s, lol), BG Infuse ribbon, and the insect die cuts were a RAK too.
Speaking of Scrapbook Challenges, we have a blog hop coming up, so be on the lookout for that info soon!!

Just a couple more Scrapbook Challenges layouts from this week there were 3 offered.
Mixing It Up a Little, use themed paper for another purpose.
I used BG Wassail pp (Christmas), die cuts from a RAK, and BG Wassail sticker letters. The fireboat was just prior to the Rose Festival Fireworks in May.
Sweet Dreams, photos of someone/thing sleeping.
All I had was these photos of our kitties sleeping, at least they were before I woke them up to take the picture, lol!!
I used Bazzill cs, Little Yellow Bicycle pp, Prima flowers, buttons, and Thickers-also as some of the flower centers.
Not a lot today, sorry. I am writing this on Tuesday, so hopefully by Friday I will have something more to share with you!

Non Layouts

I really did get a lot done this weekend! One of the things I was able to complete was the newest Basic Grey Challenges Blog challenge...
We were given a beautiful photo and we needed to use it as inspiration. I made a card for my Dad for his birthday. I always struggle with cards for men. I still worry this is too young for him, but I love it anyway, lol!
I used Bazzill Dotted Swisss cs, Basic Grey Junebug pp, Studio G stamp, and SU Scallop border punch.
I made this card (made 2 of them actually) on Friday, for a couple of friends. Yep, I made something that wasn't a challenge, or swap, or DT project; I made something just for the sake of making it!!
I used SU Riding Hood Red cs, SU Rockabilly Express pp, SU Bella Rose pp, SU A Little Something stamp set, and Cuttlebug scallop square die.
I got these the other day in the mail, from my scrappy friend, Gay. We have developed quite a friendship through AMR, so much so I am seriously considering Cliff's brother's offer to help us move out to Virginia!! The ATC is not for a swap, just to be nice. The squares are just less than 2 inches, and are so cute!!! Almost as soon as I opened them, I set out to make a wall hanging.
This is 5x7, and I hope to find a black frame at the dollar store next time I am there!
I used Wassau cardstock, Cricut paper, prima flowers, buttons, and Kaiser Crafts rhinestones.
This is my What Is Your Fruit ATC swap at Swap Addicts Anonymous.
I used SU Kiwi Kiss cs, SU Good Morning Sunshine pp, and "skittles".
Tomorrow, I have a few more layouts to share with ya'll!!
See ya next time, thanks for stopping by! Drop me line, won't ya?!

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you are all having a restful and happy Labor Day!
Today is Monday, so with that comes another Scrapbook Challenges Sketch!
Sketch 160
My take on the sketch.
I used Bazzill cs, Cosmo Cricket Cogsmo pp, a misc glittery frame, and Thickers.
Remember, Scrapbook Challenges has at least 2 new challenges every Monday!
This one is Snip A Photo/Mixed Letter.
For the sake of the challenge, I did both.
I used Bazzill cs, SU Good Morning Sunnshine pp, 3 sets of Thickers, Prima flowers, and rhinetones.
SC Something Boring to Something Nice
I altered this little tin from Target. Not an easy task with the handle and all.
I used MM Garden Party pp, and some ric rac. I really ran out of ideas for this.
SC Sept Photoshop Challenge, Walk in The Clouds.
We worked with cloud filters to give the photo an aged look. This is the original photo.
And here is the layout using the edited photo. It is kinda dark, but it does look older.
I used Bazzill cs, Pink Paislee Vintage Moon pp, Thickers, MLS mini letters, Prima flowers, rhinestones, and misc chipboard.
I got tons of layouts and stuff done this weekend, so I will have lots to share with you this coming week! Be sure to check back in.

Finished a Layout Last Night

First, this is the ATC I got as a RAK from scrappin{jewlz} at AMR. It was a challenge she participated in, she kept one, and RAKed the other! Isn't just adorable?!
Over at AMR, the Friday Team Challenge for August is being broke up into weeks, and will be photo challenges. This week was to get 3 photos of the same person at different angles. I chose to use my nephew today while I was babysitting him. True to being a 13-year old, he rolled his eyes plenty, asked me many times if I was done yet, and crossed his eyes a lot, lol! He is such a ham, and the camera loves him!
Then Gloria posted a member's random challenge, to make a layout using those same 3 photos!
I used Bazzill cs, BG Offbeat pp from a 6x6 pad, BG Buttons, eyelets, ric rac ribbon, and some Thickers. I just didn't have the right embellishments for a boy layout and the colors.
I hope to get lots of stuff done this weekend! I get a 3-day weekend too and plan on using my time very scrappily!!

No Scrappiness Today, But Still Pretty Cool!!

I did finish up a layout last night, unfortunately I can't share it. I am doing a round robin scraplift game on Scrapbook Challenges, and I don't want to taint it by sharing my layout with the rest of the team. Basically, each scraplift gets passed along and the team that remains closest to the original layout in the end, wins.
.
I did however, pull out all the layouts that need to find a home. I haven't counted these, but it is a lot! I need at least 8 large albums just to keep these layouts, not to mention the ones I will be doing in the future! The album on the left is WAY to full, and the rest are either in page protectors held together with binder rings, but most of the rest are in craft keepers.
I found a link on AMR, about making your own gluedots with Aleene's Tack It Over and Over, you can see the video here. I cut up label sheets, folded in half, and used a couple empty stamp books, to keep my dots safe. They do have a different texture than your regular glue dot, but they do work well! The great thing, is this bottle will last forever, and costs the same as one package of glue dots! I have way over the average 300 dots in a package, and barely even touched my bottle! You should check it out and give it a try!
I got some scrappy mail today! This is from scrappin{jewlz} and is a combination of a few RAKs I won during the July crop at AMR.
I got these sticky goodies from her as well, this time for the RAK from the AMR August crop. I got an ATC too, but forgot to take a picture of it, I will share it later. The really cool thing, is I really needed another glue pen, and almost bought one the other day, but decided I could live without it to save some money!!
Jewlz's daughter is participating in the Kids Only ATC swap over at Swap Addicts Anonymous, and she sent me these goodies! Thank's "R"!!
I spent an hour putting all my new goodies away, thanks again Jewlz, YOU ROCK!!!
I gotta tell ya, I have the best scrappy friends, and they are all at All Moments Remembered!!

A Baby Shower Invite

As promised yesterday, here are the baby shower invitations I did. I did a criss cross card making a pocket, and the info pulls out!I used Bazzill cs, October Afternoon pp, Bazzill ribbon, Studio G stamps, 2 circle punches, SU Ticket corner punch, and a corner rounder.
This is what it looks like when you pull the card out. Of course I hid the private info.
I made this ATC tonight, for a Halloween ATC swap at AMR. The sentiment, Happy Halloween, is purple Wassau cs, but it looks odd here. I used Bazzil cs, CB Spiderweb embossing folder and inked the embossing in black, CB Creepy die cut for the spider, and a Kaiser Crafts rhinestone, making it a Black Widow!
Have I ever mentioned I am freakishly afraid of spiders? Logically, I know this will never happen, but I always think they will just jump and attack me, and if I kill them, their families will hunt me down and kill me! LOL I really hate spiders, even before I saw arachnophobia!!
I got this goodie package from Celeste, she was giving them away on her blog a few weeks ago.
And Karen/KMG from AMR sent me this as a hostess gift for a swap.
That's all I have for today! I have a couple more things to work on, hopefully I can get some done later today when I get home, we'll see!
