Macy's Holiday Parade--Portland Style

The Friday after Thanksgiving brings the Macy's Holiday Parade to Portland. This was our first time attending this parade. It was very cold, but very worth it. The kids enjoyed it very much, especially when the paraders threw candy-who doesn't love candy. This is the beginning of a new tradition for us. We would have hung out downtown for the treelighting, but we had other engagements. Next year!

Here we are, freezing our tushies off!

Macy's, what else can I say!

I told you it was cold!

Welcome Santa!!

Hey there, I just found your blog. I'm glad you have one. I always enjoy reading what you have on CKMB. Congrats on the scrap corner. It looks great. That parade looks great too. I love in a small town where our parades have three floats from the high school (maybe), tractors and fire trucks. We actually always have a "Pleasantville," scene at our homecoming parades with each side of the street (Main Street) chanting "We've got spirit, yes we do. We've got spirit. How about you?" back and forth. Have a great weekend!
