Color Me Friday

For this week's Color Scheme, I decided to use black, a dark teal, light blue, and cream.
This is the layout I did using these colors. It is my 3rd digi layout.
Most the elements I used were from the Moody Blues Collection, from Shabby Princess.
Unrelated to today's color scheme, is another digi, for a digi challenge at Scrapbook Challenges-Use A Template. This is my 2nd digi layout.
I used the Sweet Serentiy kit from Shabby Princess, and the template by Jen Caputo.
And my first digi layout.
I can't remember where I got this kit, but it is by Ronna Penner and is called Express Yourself.
I am doing a Pass It Along swap at Splitcoast. There are 4 people in each group, and 8 ATCs. She sends the bases out, and the first person puts on one element, 2 sets of 4. I am first in the Splish Splash group, so this is what I came up with. Both designs are Quikutz designs cut with the Silhouette. I used Sakura Glaze pens on both, then on the wave one, I used some Antique Linen Distress Stickles. I hope the next person can work with them.
I FINALLY got my AMR rolodex swap back, I sent them in March!!! Here is what we got back. I obviously got rid of the personal info. I really like these!
And just for fun, I decided to put some ice cream on my lips so I could get a kiss from Toby, LOL!!! Yes, my lips are closed people! And yes, I bribe my cats for affection! Don't ya just love the wonderful sunburn I have?!
I just wanted to point out, I AM NOT going 100% digi! I love my paper too much. I am mostly just playing right now and discovering new things. So don't fret, my paper creations aren't going anywhere!

Color Me Friday

For my first Color Me Friday, I decided to use one of my favorite shirts as inspiration!
For my layout, I used Cosmo Cricket Early Bird, Pink Paislee Fascinating x2, Thickers, BG buttons, and some 7-Gypsies stickers. OH, and I found out that the SU Ticket corner punch's guide comes off, like the EK Success corner rounders. It gives you the postage stamp edge, as you can see in the red strip at the top! Another border punch idea!!
Remember, do a layout based on the color inspiration, link me to it, and I will share it on Sunday!
This is a challenge I did for AMR, the June Color Challenge. The fact that these are both color related it totally coincidental. The challenge was to use at least 3 colors of the rainbow. I couldn't help myself, and dug through my scraps for polka dotted paper in all 6 colors (not counting indigo).
Purple=American Crafts
Blue=Making Memories Fifth Ave
Green=SU Bella Rose
Yellow= Cosmo Cricket Early Bird
Orange=Crate Paper
Red=Sassafras Lass Hog Heaven
I also used an assortment of BG buttons, the purple and white ones are unknown. Letters are MM itty bitty's, and the chipboard is BG.
Got some scrappy mail today.
This first one is the coffee swap at Split Coast. I am a little disappointed, it was a 8+1, meaning you swap for 8 and the hostess gets to keep one. Do you notice any similarities between the one I made a while back and the one in the top left corner? That is because it is mine! I got ripped off, I wasn't supposed to get one of my own back! I feel cheated. Oh well, at least the postage didn't get canceled on my package, so I WILL reuse it, lol!
I got this RAK today from Jessica and Patti from AMR for being The Queen of Crop! Look at all this cute stuff, there is even a journal that says Crop Queen!! Thanks Ladies!
That is all I have for today.
The beach trip is cancelled, due to a scheduling problem with 2 of the kids. Oh well, next time. It isn't like I don't have anything to do, right? I am signed up for 4 more swaps already, and am getting behind on challenges. Gotta run, I need to get some sleep, lol!
